FORMACIONS I ORÍGENS, LAIA GUZMAN

FORMATIONS AND ORIGINS

Thermal waters are mineral waters that emerge the floor at more than 5ºC  than the surface temperature.
All thermal waters come from rainwater or thaw that infiltrates through the floor, that is, they belong to the hydrological cycle.

What is the origin of the thermal waters?
  • By volcanoes.
  • Geothermal gradient heating.

Types of thermal waters

There are two types of thermal waters depending on their geological origin: magmatic and telluric.
The type of terrain from which they appear is one of the main differences between both magmatic waters born of metallic or eruptive reefs, while telluric can appear anywhere.

Benefits
The bath in thermal waters increases the temperature of the body, killing germs, among them viruses, in addition it increases the hydrostatic pressure of the body, reason why it increases the blood circulation and the oxygenation. This increase in temperature helps to dissolve and remove toxins from the body.
